HomeTeam Pest Defense, whose Lehigh Acres branch serves the Fort Myers area, is a Dallas-headquartered company that says on its website it got its start in 1996. Many area homes were built with the company's Taexx system, tubes hidden in the walls that let technicians treat for pests from outside without entering the house. For termites, HomeTeam says it offers the Sentricon baiting system for existing homes and borate wood and soil treatments during construction. Each visit under its 6-Point Advantage plan involves clearing away accessible cobwebs and wasp nests, and the company says its work carries a full guarantee. It lists Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs and Lehigh Acres as service areas.
